I got my turbos back from SGP today. When I got back to the shop who is doing the engine work, they noticed a hairline crack going through the housing. It's on the exhaust side of the turbo. I called Kyle, he said that it shouldnt be a problem since its on the exhuast side and small cracks are fairly common. What I want to know, would it be safe to use this turbo. Would replacing the housing itself be a fix? Would this be work that I would have to send back to SGP's turbo connection? Or something probably done in house (i know i should be asking sgp that question, but i'm curious tonite) The pics are kinda blurry, but i made them big, so you can see the most detail. The crack is noted by the red boxes below. The crack is very small on the outside, probably a couple of millimeters in length, but the one on the inside looks almost an inch long. The 2nd picture below is very blurry, but you can get an idea of the length. The crack is about the width of a strand of hair.
